May 24th - 25 th
On Saturday the division team found themselves elevated to the
giddy heights of Division 3, but an analysis of our competitors seed times showed
that we were on paper the slowest team in the division. Unfortunately this
was reflected during the day and although we did our best we failed to gain a
rosette, but we had some excellent tight racing during the day and thoroughly
enjoyed ourselves.
On Sunday our starter team including new boy Barney had a better result by gaining a third place. The weather although not wet, was miserable and cold so we decided to go home after the afternoon racing while the division teams were competing. We returned later to pick up our rosettes and have a celebratory drink in the club house afterwards.
