September 26th
We
put in two teams for the final tournament of the 2009 outdoor season.
As with all the Crazies tournaments the event was well organised and the
racing went smoothly.
With
a change of height dogs the teams were for the Hotdogs; Foster, Harry, Coco
& Daisy backed up by Megan, and fresh from "Strictly", Amber.
The Hotshots fielded Millie, Barney, Georgie, Bracken, Tessa &
Minstral. Both teams enjoyed some
good tight racing but neither team got into the rosettes.
However the day was marked with some success as Bracken and Minnie ran in
division and gained their first BFA points, plus CoCo and Daisy increased their
points total to over 1,000 giving them the title of Flyball Dog Intermediate
(FDI). Congratulations all round.
Some
of the team stayed overnight and regrouped at 11:00 to walk on the beach with
the dogs. It was good to see ten dogs splashing about in the sea really enjoying
themselves. This was followed by
fish and chips on the sea front with John buying everybody a Lemon
Top to mark Daisy’s third birthday.
On
a lighter note Andy Short, John’s fellow webmaster for the Crazies, spotted
John had a unique method of starting Daisy off on her run.
