When a team dropped out
of this tournament we decided to enter the Hotshots for our last outing of 2009.
The team we fielded was; Barney, CoCo, Foster, Georgie and Tessa.
Although this was an outdoor tournament the racing was held in two marquees to
shield competitors from the excesses of autumn. The weekend weather
however was cool and dry, this plus hot drinks and food from the catering van
kept us comfortable throughout the day. Georgie started the day with 185
points so she needed just 15 to give her the title of Flyball Dog. She
gained 20 points from the first and third race against the Honey Monsters so
it's congratulations to Georgie and Sara for a great end to the season 
.
We ended the day in the rosettes with a respectable third, which considering the
short notice and lack of time for training we had a really good result. We
hope to start the 2010 at the same venue, in the meantime we will continue
weekend training until we break for Christmas and the New Year.
