We
had yet another good weekend of flyball, this time we were at Newark showground
as part of a new event called Dogs
Unleashed. It was especially pleasing for the Hotshots which had Minstrel making her debut
in Division 5, plus, Barney ran in every race and really enjoyed himself.
Following some intensive training on the box both CoCo and Daisy seem to have
recovered from their Blue Lane antics and never put a paw wrong.
However very few points, (10), were gained during the day as most races were
over 30 seconds. The surprise of the day was the Hotshots winning a race
with a time of 70.84 against a Sheffield team!
The Hotdogs started well in Division2 but had to withdraw from the competition
at the final race after Finnegan sustained an injury and Jasmine developed a limp.
Up until that time they had held their own against the "professionals" of Nuneaton &
The Molten Magnets.
