Billy Bob, however, has taken a little longer to grasp the rudiments of the sport (approximately 3 years!) but then he’s a greyhound - they’re late developers. En route to that moment at Phoenix when it finally clicked, he has given the team and spectators some memorable moments doing his impersonation of a gazelle! And Stan can testify to the force of a 30 kg greyhound in full flight!!! | |

| When
Jenny – a 5 year-old ex-racer - joined the pack she came along to
practice with the boys and – against all expectations - quickly
demonstrated the inherent superiority of her gender by appearing in
starters within a few months. Phil
and Eileen are now looking forward to the day when Hillam fields a
‘hounddog’ team (but need a bigger campervan!). |

Finnegan,
Billy Bob and Jenny share their pad with a chatty puss.
Phil tinkers with cars and Eileen reads for England – when work
doesn’t get in the way. |
